Title: Creating lemon or orange rinds for Corona
Post by: JViz on 2019-01-26, 15:17:40
Hi everyone

I would like some help creating lemon rinds/peels. I've tried creating a plane bend and noise. But that creates paper like results. I'm trying to create photorealistic objects though.
How would you approach this problem?

Thanks a bil

Can you post real life references? It would definitely help to know what we are talking about. ;)

Paper like, you mean lack of thickness? Why not to add shell modifier then?

The free version of the turbospline plugin would probably get you on the right track in recreating a peel.

Helix - Extrude - Shell

Then move a few verts around, bends, tapers, noise modifiers to get the variations?
