Sketch scene I've been working on, but the current render is quite uninteresting. Any suggestions on composition? Additional elements? Lighting?

Open the door a bit and add some debris in the actual hallway. You can also think of some story for the scene and act accordingly. Also maybe some graffiti would be nice if you want to go for a proper "rarely used/abandoned" look. And don't forget cigarette buts on the ground if so :)


In any case, make sure you have something beyond the door.

Thank you :) Several of your suggestions are definitely worth considering. Hopefully others will chime in as well, if not just for a diversity of opinion.
