Title: Exclusion Issue in CoronaLightMtl
Post by: jop on 2018-12-12, 17:04:18
Hi,

don't know if it's a bug, CoronaLightMtl exclude feature doesn't seem to work with VolumeMtl assigned objects.

I try to make an emissive object invisible to a local fog with no luck...

I'm using stable Corona 3.
Thanks for your help.

Jop

Okay, I found something, I' have actually two boxes to make my fog, a big one bounding the scene and a small one bounding the camera.
I made this in order to have a good behavior, similar to global volume one.

The exclude issue appears when my LightMtl object intersects he small box.

no, actually it happens even when not intersecting...

Hello,

here is a picture and a basic scene to better explain my issue.

Notice the difference in exclusion with LightMtl vs CoronaLight.

So it's still excluding but differently?

Try it with a single plane.
A sphere with assigned CoronaLightMtl is by far not the same as a spherical Corona light and this is expected since every face of the sphere is a separate light when using a CoronaLightMtl, so what you are seeing is the same as for the corona light (still some slight volume illumination around the Corona Light) multiplied by the number of faces in the sphere.

Thanks, indeed it seems similar with a plane.
But the issue that some light still glows remains.
