Chaos Corona for 3ds Max => [Max] I need help! => Topic started by: JoachimArt on 2018-10-17, 14:56:15

I have a scene I've been working on on another machine were I had Corona Volume grid objects, but when opening the scene on another PC Volume grids only show the bounding box in the viewport (not the point cloud) and they are not being rendered. I also tried setting up an empy scene with only one VDB object to check, but it doesn't render as well.
See screenshot:

Any ideas why that is happening?

If moving to another machine, did you move the openvdb file itself, then reload it (as most likely the path will have changed)?

Yes I did. I also made a new scene with only one VDB object which I loaded, and it still stayed empty and didn't render.

Actually, If I add a new volume grid to the same scene it wont appear or if I reset max to an empty scene and add if after I loaded this scene. I cannot reload a new VDB into these meshes either, nothing happens. But If I EXIT max and re-open it with an empty scene and then add a VDB it works. So it seems it won't load any VDB made on another computer despite the path to the object is the same. And once opened with a VDB that isn't displayed you cannot add another. Maybe its a bug ?
