Hi guys,
I'm creating a pumpkin halloween spot.
I have a pumpkin with a logo booled out and inside is a light. I want to animate the light so it looks like it's flickering on/off then stays on.
I have tried animating the intensity of the light and keyframing with a few frames apart higher then lower values but it doesn't seem to look right.
I am animating at 30FPS.
Am I on the correct track and just need to fine tune the distance and intensity between the keyframes or is there a more efficient way to mimic a flicker light. Think of a horror film when the light flickers on and off quickly then stays on

To my knowledge, Corona lights can't be keyframed as of yet. You will get your desired look using C4D lights.

They can.
@daveclive: You did not try to animate the "units" parameter by accident?
-
Not sure if this might help but I got some OK results using the fire shader in C4D.
Sorry for the small video but it was for a specific purpose:

Works just fine, even with xpresso...

As an alternative, you can get by with animated texture.

I should have been clearer with my response, color and temp aren't animating from the light settings (yet).

If you must, you can animate the Color via Xpresso already.

Yes, but it should be standard in the settings in my opinion. ;)

Absolutely. I was just pointing it out in case somebody needs it now.

No probs ;)
