Chaos Corona for 3ds Max => [Max] I need help! => Topic started by: TonyDo on 2018-10-09, 10:42:39

Hello there, great people!
I might pop up an already-existing topic because i can't really research my issue with the right keywords, but who knows!
My problem is the following:
I create an environment map that I set under "screen" mode in my material editor to have a great landscape through the windows.
Now, no matter if my white walls are made of a reflecting material or not, I can see a faded exact continuation of the background image on my walls (inside a room) on the directions where the corona sun emits sunlight, except the ceiling. Also, this very faded background continuation is visible on other stuff hanging on the walls. If i delete the environment background, obviously this is not visible anymore. If i delete all the windows and glasses, this faded continuation is still visible. I added a portal material capping exactly the window holes, but that changed nothing. Now idk how and with what to go further. // 3ds Max 2018 | Corona 2.0
Thanks a lot guys for all your inputs how to remove this "bug?", and if this topic would already exist, please copy me the link towards it! Have a great one.

That's because you need to put in direct visibility override only for background, and other maps for light scene. Or better make plane behind windows like this https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000515605-how-to-create-background-material-in-corona-

Enviroment map is used for lighting the scene in Corona, so it ALWAYS has to be set to spherical mapping mode. As for how to create background, please refer to the article at the link provided by sprayer.

Thanks Sprayer and Romullus, I'll give a check on that!

I confirm, that dropping the hdr background slot onto reflections override in the renderer setup under Corona scene tab has done it!
Cheers to all!
