I am new to this forum, and must say that I am pretty much amazed by gallery and capabilities of Corona :D
Also having rawalnche here as resident artist says for itself :D
Unfortunately I do not use 3dsMax, will there be support for other applications, like XSI :D , in near future?
Keep up great work!

yeah, i'm all for that... maya, xsi... and on linux platform. Unfortunately, I believe this is sort of, distant future matter...
-
Keymaster should have a penny for each instance of this question :P
-it is tedious task, so not in near future... ;)
-
If I had penny for every time this question is asked, I would have actually enough money to hire a programmer to do the connection ;)
-
Ever thought of donations? Seriously?
-
Maybe someone is interested in start doing this for free, and than you can arrange some other type of relationship.

Sorry for popping up this thread, but it seems to be the correct one.
I have no idea if corona is still under development, but if so then I'd be interested in creating a interface for maya.
I use the OpenMaya framework (https://github.com/haggi/OpenMaya) to implement Appleseed. Have a look at vimeo, there are some videos showing how it works for Appleseed (
).
It worked as well for Krakatoa and it's KrakatoaSR (unfortunatly a propriatary implementation because Thinkbox will not allow me to open the interface to the public) and for an older version of mantra. At the moment I'm working on a interface for Kray, current a lightwave only renderer.
So if there is any interest for such an implementation, it would be an pleasure for me to try it.
-
yes, it is still under development, and Alpha v4 will have a (non-public) easy-to-use API
-
So you mean I can try to use it for an maya implementation?
-
yes
-
Any timeframe when the alpha4 will be available?
-
I hope by the end of the next week
-
Hi,
any news about the API with Alpha4?
-
I still did not get myself to do it ;)
