Title: CProxy and Smoothing Groups?
Post by: Njen on 2018-07-23, 01:01:54
It looks like that the CProxy object doesn't store smoothing groups, is this true? And if so, could it?

There's also feature request to address this issue, has been registered: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=20657.0
I will backlink from that topic, if some useful info will be posted here.

Hmm, ok. I guess I have to figure out a work around for now. Thanks for the heads up.

CProxy is able to recognize smoothing groups =)

My issue was trying to save smoothing groups in a CProxy object, and apparently this is not possible for now.

Hi guys, could you please provide us with some simple steps how to reproduce this issue?
Is it like this?
1. Create some object, convert to poly, apply different smoothing groups to it
2. Convert to CProxy
3. Convert back to poly
4. Check smoothing groups
?
