Title: Compositing Velocity Pass
Post by: LC3D on 2018-06-01, 00:42:48
Can someone please point me in the direction of a tutorial or information on how to correctly composite the velocity pass in after effects for motion blur?

Much appreciated.

Thanks man, I've watched that one. I'm a complete noob when it comes to after effects so if there's something out there that shows
how to do it in after effects that would be really handy...

As far as I know, After Effects does not have built in velocity pass blurring and needs a purchased plugin like RSMB to do it (this is the reason the tutorial doesn't show using AE, as we don't want it to rely on someone having purchased additional software). As a note, Blackmagic Fusion is free to download and use, and natively supports blurring using Velocity Pass info. For AE, you'd need to look for RSMB (ReelSmart Motion Blur) to see how to do it.
