Good day! How to make sure that images with "render elements"are not saved in the batch render?

If things are saved through 3ds Max (that is, not from the VFB) then it is impossible to avoid Max saving the separate elements as well due to the way Max works - you always end up with the main EXR with the render elements in it as layers, plus each render element as a separate image.

On a related note, has anyone ever missed Alpha render element when doing batch rendering? Whenever I check Alpha element and start batch render it always saves all the elements except Alpha. So strange.

We use EXR as the save option, if you want layered exr without other passes just hit save , put the render name and the exr extension, a dialog will pop up, hit add and add your composition layers, this way you get the layered exr, just one file.

The fact that I wanted to batch render I have just for example 5 JPG files with the names of the cameras. And all:) and it turns out that the disk creates 6-8 times more files (SSD disk) and it increases the wear and tear of the disk :)

If just saving to JPG, then the render elements can just be turned off before batch rendering (see attached, just uncheck Elements active) and they should not create any images (with a "flat" file like JPG, getting separate images is the only way to have the render elements - if using a layered format where the main file will already contain the elements and the single files are not necessary, the problem is with the native Max file saving system, which always produces the single files as well as the one layered file with all elements in them).
