Title: Volumetric pass behind glass
Post by: filippo.previtali on 2018-03-14, 13:59:38
Hi all,
I am working on an interior image with a big window (double glazing with thickness). Outside I have a a box for my fog.
I am trying to get the fog visible on my volumetric pass but the glass in front won't let me see it.....all black.
I have tried to make the glass not visible to masks...but this won't solve the problem. I would love to render the image just once.....is it possible?

Thanks a lot!

F

As far as I know it will only work with thin mode enabled. Are you working on a scenario where that isn't acceptable?

Thanks for your help. Luckily the camera is perpendicular to the windows, therefore, I have turned the refraction off and used the thin option.....all sorted now but it would be good to have the chance to make a surface invisible on a particular render pass.....

Thanks again!
