Title: Automatically store frame buffer history
Post by: Jpjapers on 2018-03-06, 11:11:19
Id love to have a checkbox and spinner to have the vfb automatically keep the hisory to a certain number of levels.
Just for when im working on test renders and make small changes i can do comparisons and when working at speed its something i often wish i had.

There is the "Render history and A/B comparison" in the System settings, that allows Auto saving on render end, with a limited size on the HDD. Does that do the job?

Hi Tom. Don't know if this is enough for OP, but I think 2 things are missing:

1 - a way to set a max number of saved images
2 - a way to choose on what disk this is kept

I never use the history for one simple reason: I haven't got the space needed on my C-disk

Regards

The max images is the bit that would help massively but i didnt realise there was the autosave feature thanks Tom

Most welcome! Also, good to hear suggestions on how the current implementation might be improved (always good to check whether this was a "I know what is there already, but adding x to it would make it even better" vs "I didn't know it was there" :) )
