Title: Corona/Deadline workflow
Post by: g.croitor on 2018-02-27, 09:07:17
Hi,

Can some tell me if it is possible to offload a job on multiple nodes? So there you have one master node and other nodes rendering the same image?

Best,
George

Hi, if I understand your post correctly, what you are seeking is distributed rendering - https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000501666

Hi Maru,

Thanks for replying. I am not seeking the standard Corona DR option. I am looking after the off-load option present in Deadline (3ds Cmd). Attached you can find a screen shot.

That option allows me to send the render to a master node which can have other nodes as slaves.

Another option available is to split the render in tiles. Is there any documentation regarding this process?

Best,
George

why u need a master node? just send it to deadline, and select what slaves should render, done!

Hi,

I am not talking about rendering an animation. I am talking about rendering one image with 10 nodes for example.

Thanks for replying.

Alright, then:

CoronaDR or TiledRender.

nothing else available.
nothing else needed imo.

Hi,

Good to know! Just trying tile rendering at the moment but I get some differences between tiles when I do not precompute the UHD Cache. Precomputing is the way for a clean result?

George

Been looking into Deadline this last week as I'm tired of Backburner. But it all came to an end once I found of there is no Off Load yet implemented.
There is some discussions about it but not real answer as to when it'll be implemented. Here are some links to the discussions.
