Title: Masking Hair and Fur modifier in 3dsMax
Post by: bruno.sdi on 2018-02-01, 23:28:11
Hi there!
I'm new in this forum and kind of a newbie in Corona :)
As Icouldn't find any info about this I started a new topic... I'm trying to render a image which have some fur blanket on a chair but I want to have the possibility to edit the colours in post so I created a CMasking_Mask render element but I can only get the base object with no fur :s

Tried the different options (Object GBuf ID, Material GBuf ID and Manual Selection) and no luck.

Is this a Corona known limitation? Or am I just missing something?
Is it possible to mask hair?

Thank you very much for your help.
Bruno

Works here. How do you set up your mask?

Hi there romullus
Thanks a lot for your fast reply.
The fact that you could do it made me try it all again. Material GBuf didn't work neither the Manual selection... Then found out the Object GBuf ID I had didn't match with the object GBuf ID on the properties and indeed it worked!! Sorry, my mistake :s

So I assume to mask Hair we have to use the Object GBuf ID mode...
Thank you for your time!

Cheers!

So I assume to mask Hair we have to use the Object GBuf ID mode...

Depends: With GBuffer ID you get the base object + hair. With material ID (only in "mr Shader slot") you get just the hair as mask.

Good Luck
