max 2018
Is it just me, or is it royal paint to select corona cameras by themselves without a target?
It seems that the sensitive area around the camera itself is completely off, it always picks both the camera and the target.
And even if i find a way (by clicking on the very back of the camera icon), it takes max a long to acknowledge that a selection was made.
Not a critical thing, but very annoying!

Confirmed here , pretty annoying indeed, but i guess it's a max thing...

We can actually influence this, so it should be fixable. But maybe screenshot/video indicating the camera position in viewport and place you are clicking would be helpful - we already tried to make the camera selection comfortable
-
this has not been fixed has it?
camera selection is still annoying.
IMO it should work like this:
clicking anywhere on (or near) the camera should select the camera only.
clicking on the "camera ray" should select cam and target.
I found also that rectangular selecting over the camera body only always selects the cam only, not respecting 3ds Max Window / Crossing Setting. In Crossing Mode the ray would be hit and logically should result in selecting cam+target.
I think there is no need for a video to explain this.

It is still on our high priority TODO.
