Title: Material tests
Post by: iacdxb on 2018-01-19, 12:22:48
Just some quick material test and nice result, happy with that...!

Just waiting for utility to convert vray material to corona....! I think its long time now.

- IR not updating displacement setting (max level), stop IR and then start IR again it shows correct.
- Material Override also needs IR stop start.
- HDR used and set in shadow catcher environment also, if sky hdr is rotated, IR not showing hdr is rotated until IR stop start again.
- After some HDR replaced... IR sop showing updated hdr, have to shop and start IR again.

and another... why not making separate section for material, Material for C4D under Corona for C4D section.

Thanks.

p.s
mostly objects with materials are black in view port, it will be nice if we can see material in next updated beta.

You can still use robert hitzer's corona Tools: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=5187.0
It doesn't convert materials perfectly but it still takes the majority of the burden. Things such as IOR, normals have to be readjusted.
I think there will eventually be a materials section but until that, just use the site: https://www.corona-materials.de/en/

I wish if it was taking just basic material to convert.... but I am Mac user.

For material section, I mean discussion/help over material, anyone needs some different kind of material or any problem in material... so it will be separate, not mixing with all other posts.

A specialized help section wouldn't be wrong but meanwhile, we can help each other here: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=18741.0
That's one of the reasons I created the thread.
