Sorry, but I do not think it is accessible through maxscript yet. I will see if we already have a feature request about it, and add it if not.

When are you gonna update the docs to 2.0?

i'm working on a automatic lightmix- setup tool, and would need the maxscript access.

It will be updated after the release. It's on our todo.
