Title: Can't see corona light in viewport
Post by: naturalstate on 2017-11-22, 20:36:48
When I add a corona light to my scene I don't see any geometry for the light. I only see the move gizmo. And the light doesn't appear to emit anything either. Am I missing something? I have it checked on and have played with viewport wireframe gizmo size but nothing changes.

Make sure exposure is disabled (hotkey '8' for effects/environment dialog), if enabled it also will affect the viewport. Or your scene units are huge and the light's default brightness is too dim.

My exposure control was set to physical for some reason, even though it was off earlier. Weird. But that worked now I can see the light!

Thanks!

Creating a Physical Camera will sometimes automatically create physical exposure. I have no idea when exactly but there's probably a logic behind it. Glad it's working now!

It happens at the moment you are pressing "Physical" in the create panel (you do not even have to create a physical cam actually). Not happening when using Ctrl+C in a perspective view.

there's probably a logic behind it.

As far as I can judge this it's just another sample of you-know-who company logic.

Good Luck

That's what I supposed but that logic seemed too straight-forward ;)
