If you mean light-emitting materials, then it's already implemented since ages.
If you mean post glare effects, then I think it's useful only if you want to record youtube videos about it.

Hi maru
I tried with a teapot and I applied emitter material, but the glow effect can not see it
-
example, there is a MentalRay shaders Self Illumination (Glow)

Corona cannot do glow, because you can easily do it in postpro
-
Hi Ondra, thank
This option will be implemented in the future?
...but there is a different method to get the glow in 3dsmax ?
maru
examples of emitter with and without glow
-
rafpug, in mental that kind of glow is made by a shader that works in post, so actuall you can easily work manually in post ;)
-
Hello Alessandro
Yes
I saw a tutorial from Autodesk where you put the glow effect to an object without using the post-production.
Thanks

This would require participating media (like volumetric fog).
