I need sometime some preview renders)
Tried to search some answer here, but didn't found...
E.g. in VRay i could tune settings and achieve pics aprox the same quality, but slightly blurry and maybe noisy (depends on scene complexity) and it'll take 10-30min/pic 1080p on my 3770K 3,5GHz!
Corona's pics are great, but in 5-15mins still are noisy( i'm new in it but avoid Emission Mats, Huge Displace/Bump, Albedo 1, etc.)!
Maybe there are some settings in Corona to achieve pics in 10-20mins maybe less photographic/supadupa-realistic/amazing/caustic/dof/beauty but no noise? or special tracing method? or settings I didn't noticed? or...not enough beer in me?)
btw. now I use Alpha5 (not daily build).

hm... if noisy previews are not ok for you, but blurry ones are, I suggest waiting for the next stable release that will have irradiance caching in it
-
There is not irradiance cache in corona at the moment, so this will probably not be easy. You should really post some pictures as it will make detecting noise source a lot easier.

Why that? I thought this was something you were dismissing some Alphas ago.

Post as it is, maybe some gamma settings need to be set, but they become darker!
GammaAndLut 1.8, all render settings are default, only use PT+HD, HD(as recommended PTsamples-512, MaxRecords-300). Plus VRay pic - and another question: why in Corona, reflections become dimmer!
6*CoronaLights - Intensity 1000, Sphere R9mm, and WM screen: Emission 1,6 +Map!
VRayPhysicalCamera+CoronaCameraMod

Because it will come back being better than ever before :D

You can try rendering with low amount of path tracing samples (2-8) and unlimited passes or set passes to 1 and use high path tracing samples amount like 2000 or so.

Can't wait!

It's like IrMap in Vray? So cache could be use the same way in animations(using info from previous renders)?
-
yes.
It was already implemented in previous version, but was later dropped because it require one feature for efficient sampling that complicated the rest of the renderer too much. But now I have a better idea that does not need that feature ;)
-
But it'll be always biased? (when using IrCache)
-
yes, you would need unlimited memory for unbiased rendering with IC/HD cache/lightcache

And now I ain't going to sleep until i see this release :( :D this will be sooo awesome...
