Greetings friends,
I'm very active today in the forum, sorry, but I have several problems.
I want to wear a corona on a project, and I do not know if it's the right thing to do.
For several problems of instability now I have doubts.
Before writing here I have looked for tutorials but !! I do not find it, it's very scarce
the information about this render engine.
It would be nice to have a page dedicated to tutorials about corona render
other is to say that it is a good publicity
Anyway !!, my problems are several
I'm recreating a scene that was made by someone else with octane render
I want to see if I can get to that render finish.
The idea is to do is create a video.
In the scene of octane render the Atmosphere (glow) does not touch the fan
this due to the distance of the illumination.
But with crown I can not achieve this.
I do not know if I'm doing something wrong ??
I see that there are several volume textures among others that I do not know how to use them
and not if they help what I want to do.
Any help would be very helpful.
I am grateful to this forum for supporting and guiding us in the use of corona
Many thanks and a thousand apologies for my ignorance and annoyance
regards

I hope I understand it correctly.
It seems like you were confusing glow/bloom with volumes/a god-ray-effect.
In the Octane scene, there was certainly a volume material (medium->scattering medium, phase ca. +0,6, rest except for transmission unchecked, ior 1)
applied to either the environment or to a box in the room.
You need to basically do the same.
Short: add a box in that room, apply a corona volume material, set the phase and scattering colors. Play with it until you're happy.
Here are some tutorials for corona about volumes. It is in MAX but the same principles and values apply here too.
edit: I made a small example using just sunlight(which might not be ideal but it's good for showing purposes)

thanks, I applied the volume texture and program
It gives me error and closes cinema 4d.
I'll try again
-
I just saw that you had n HDRI map applied to your volume. That's not how it works.
Just try the scene I provided in my edit. Play a bit with the values to see what happens and you'll get it.
BTW, I use the latest daily build.
e: you might want to update to R18.057

many many thanks, my friend, I already have something good.
The bad thing is that sometimes Corona is blocked ..... but well we know it is a trial version.
But what I want comes out
-
blocked, how?
-
I am also curious as to how and more importantly when is Corona blocked. :-) Could you describe the situation a bit more?
-
Hello friends,
By having the volume texture applied to the box and rendering a region render
Corona is blocked
-
In a simple scene, C4D's native render region and interactive render region work for me with a global volume material, and when the volume material is applied to an object. When you say blocked what do you mean, does it crash? Does everything work as expected in the Corona VFB? (Interactive, offline, render regions in the VFB?)
Thanks!
Tom

The scene is rendered well, in the image viewer and in the VFB.
But!! when you render a region render the program crashes
-
Could you send along the crash report file, that would most likely be helpful :)
-
Also, if the problem doesn't happen with all scenes, it might be a problem of your specific scene. If possible, could you upload the scene using our private uploader so that we can check it out?
The uploader can be found here: https://corona-renderer.com/upload (https://corona-renderer.com/upload)

if I'm going to send it to your mail
the complete C4D file
Also a small animation where the volume of admosfera does not behave well for animation and artifacts are seen.
in a 2 hours I send the file
Thank you
