I start to use 1.7 and Hair and Fur not support mapping..
this is a big problem if you want to create a carpet or fur like jaguar (what I have to do :((((((
also in Dr, slaves not read cache fur file simulation.
Will these problems be solved?

It works. You have to use the parameter of Hair and Fur Material Parameters rollout. (Tip Color and Root Color)

But you loose all CoronaHair parameters that way, so from my point of view it doesn't work. Well, at least not how it should. But as Ondra said, it's autodesk to blame for that :[

Okay thanks, I had tried to use a map in Mutant Color using a material in Mr Shader. It was an alternative solution, though not perfect.
And for Dr problem?

Is the fur cache file picked up by asset tracking? (Shift+T)
If so, there should be no reason why it wouldn't work in DR.
As a temporary workaround you can try placing the cache file on a network drive where it can be reached by all PCs.

what is used without coronahairmtl plugged in is actually also hair mtl, just with its properties mapped into the native controls

Ondra, could you tell us what exactly properties are mapped? Is it just diffuse colour, or something more?

It find "Fur.stat" file (I'don't know if read this as sequence) BUT the result is this..

Problem solved...I'don't know why...but Asset Tracking was disabled...

Confirmed. It's a bug. .stat file isn't recognized in DR.
The Slave isn't able to read the .stat file from H&F simulation.
with BB everything is ok.

Also, the H&F material is still not technically released in a stable build yet. There is always the warning of using daily builds at your own risk. As always, if you have a mission critical delivery, you should not use the daily builds.

yes guys, as Njen said, daily build in every software is for testing and playing purpose only. unless you know exactly which feature is production ready and which feature is still in development.

Ahhh, i was hoping for melanin. Oh, well...
I think there are still unused by Corona slots left in H&F material rollout. Could be some hair materials properties mapped to them? Even if UI elements naming would make no sense. Or maybe hair materials properties could be added to H&F modifier through custom attributes? Just some ideas, to make H&F and HairMaterial bond a little bit more usefull :]

We have just released Corona Renderer 1.7 Hotfix 1: https://corona-renderer.com/download/
It contains some important DR fixes, including correct hair rendering, so please download and install it.
Please make sure that Corona Renderer 1.7 Hotfix 1 is installed on all computers, and that DR server 1.7 Hotfix 1 is running on all of the slaves.
If the issue will remain after installing this version, please contact us, and we will continue looking for a solution.

DR issue is now fixed. The mapping issue is not solvable, as there is bug in 3ds Max preventing us from accessing UVWs. Autodesk knows about the problem, but they are unable to fix it.
