Title: Matching Colors
Post by: jcook on 2017-09-26, 15:16:12
I'm working with exterior renderings and I'm having my materials constantly be washed out. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm specifically using Sherwin Williams colors and matching the rgb values, but after rendering the colors are no longer accurate to what the material should really look like. Any tips or suggestions for solving this issue? Attached is the finished product. The body should be a Downing Sand with R:203 G:188 B:165, and accent pieces being a Rockwood Clay R:154 G:126 B:100

Materials will change dependant on lighting too.  Those RGB values will shift in bright sunlight as opposed to moonlight.

I'd suggest doing it by eye using interactive.  Have your RGB swatch open in a separate window and tweak the corona colour until it looks how you want in your given lighting situation
