Distributed render on 1.6 doesn't work as it used to work in 1.5. The main difference is that it doesn't have the same standard for calculating noise level. I used to work with 7%, and the difference is obvious when I switched to 1.6. I had to lower the value a lot. But that isn't the main problem I'm having.
I have problem with stripes with different level of noise. I am including examples of it.

Example #2

Well, noise limit couldn't be used in 1.5 with DR, as Distributed Rendering did not work with adaptivity back then. That was introduced in 1.6 as part of the DR overhaul, and allowed DR to work with adaptivity and so work with the noise limit (https://corona-renderer.com/blog/corona-renderer-1-6-for-3ds-max-released/ (https://corona-renderer.com/blog/corona-renderer-1-6-for-3ds-max-released/))
On the bands in the rendering, my first thought would be to double check that all machines have the same version of Max, and same version of Corona and Corona DR, just in case one (or more) did not get updated, it's easy to have happen. Let us know!

Double checked everything, everything is the same, and all the network locations work. In addition you will find screenshot of settings used in my distributed rendering.

Is this still happening in 1.6 hotfix 2?
If so, my first though was that the nodes did not yet contribute enough to the rendered image, and only 1 pass (or less?) is transferred by them. Those example images are made after how long rendering time?
Anyway. if here is still some problem with DR, I would suggest contacting us about it at support@corona-renderer.com .

have you tried 1.6 hotfix3? It fixed some noise issues when using DR

Is anything from this topic still valid?
If so, please try with Corona Renderer 1.7 Hotfix 1:
