Title: 3D Gradient Ramp with numerical depth would be nice

To have gradient ramp that acts in polygon normal direction would be nice.

Hmmm.  Can Falloff control how deep material goes into the mesh? The idea is to control SSS depth.

How can this be for SSS if there is no SSS yet?

But SSS is on its way :) This also would be usable for translucency depth, liquid, glass effects.

Currently no plans for this
