Hello guys,
I need your help to make wall uplight like the picture below.

I want to make uplights on columns but I just did like this

you have two options:

1. Find a more focused IES file

or

2. don't use IES and then increase directionality on the light to something higher like 0.8

Yes, using IES would be the easiest solution here. You can even use them with native 3ds Max lights.
