Title: Ptex support
Post by: carloslogg on 2017-08-07, 06:27:56
hello guys, i want to know if corona can handle Ptex.  it is kind of the future of texturing, and very very nice to use, instead of the annoying uv unwrapping..   vray can use ptex..  but what about corona ?  im not sure about if there's a way to use ptex files from mudbox,...   i know most of the guys here are into architectural stuff and they can live without the ptex.. but it will be a mayor upgrade and a magnet for industry's character designers..  i love corona.. but no ptex i can't use it..  =(

also if someone knows a good easy way to transform ptex to UV ... (without the annoying unwrapping process..  )   im open to suggestions

PTEX is not yet supported, but acknowledged as a popular feature request, so it will be added in the future.
