Title: 3Ds Max: A script to disable undo temporarily?
Post by: lupaz on 2017-08-04, 21:07:19
Hi all,

I noticed how corona lets you disable undo in Max for, I think, proxies.
Really cool.

Do you know if there's a script to manually disable Undo in 3DS Max before any other operation?
Like a toggle...?

I'm curious why you would want to, what's the advantage?

The only immediate thing I can think of is only reducing the scene undo levels to 1, but that doesn't reduce it to 0. hmmmm

Because some processes take longer just to save the undo info.

"The undo system can consume large amounts of memory and slow down processing."
