Title: Corona Image Editor - batch processing
Post by: zmeski on 2017-05-19, 16:07:29
Hello guys,
no idea whether this has been answered anywhere but how do i use the Corona image editor with animations?
IS there some sort of command line tool that can make use of saved preset?
Thanks!
Martin

Hi! Thank you for your feedback.
A command-line version of the editor is definitely on our roadmap. It will be officially released in version 1.7. But you will be able to try it even sooner in daily builds. So stay tuned. :-)
As you write, it will be able to load configs from the GUI version (or even from Corona VFB). Therefore with a little bit of simple scripting you will be able to process rendered images in a batch.

Hey, good news for you! ;-) We have just switched this request to high priority. It is not 100% sure but if everything goes well, first release of CIE command-line version will be probably ready for 1.6 hotfix which is coming very soon. I will inform you here about further progress ...

Hi again, JFYI yesterday's daily build introduces a beta version of the command-line CIE. You can download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/mswauuv1afec8am/AAA5OKrd_QujokDM3mxQ7S40a. After installation you can find it in the Corona's folder in Program Files. It is still beta. Its interface will change slightly, and it still needs a better help (pass -h argument to it). Both should be done in the 1.6 hotfix release (which is coming soon).

Hi,

Corona 1.6 hotfix has been released (see https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,16309.0.html) and experimental release of the command-line version of the editor is included in it. You can try to use it for your batch processing / animations. For start, invoke CoronaImageCmd.exe --help to see what it is capable of and how it can be used. ;-)

Good luck! And please report any problems with it. Thank you.

Hi, do you mean CoronaImageBatch from this thread: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,16428, or the command-line version of Corona Image Editor? What was your command and what do you expect to be its output?
