Title: How to render close-up floor?
Post by: fa2020 on 2017-05-18, 19:58:36
Hi guys,
In some renders I've seen close-up high-detailed floor. I don't know if they are Zbrush sculpture or just simple plane and material. For example we see 3D jungle with close-up ground and dust or close-up trunk. How are they made? Even Zbrush sculptures are jaggy and undesirable in close-up views. In the following image you see there is a relatively sharp woody floor but there are also some other images that are very high-detailed than this.

I'm pretty sure the floor in your example is just a high resolution texture of said floor. It doesn't look like it is modeled geometry to me.
