Title: CScatter jitter curve
Post by: romullus on 2017-05-16, 16:34:55
I wonder why CScatter's UV map distribution jitter has some built in curve? It seems to me that linear translation would be more logical, wouldn't it? Not that it bothers me much, but still would like to know if there's some reason behind this.

You have to click on the image to see animation.

are you sure the curve is inside scatter, and not caused by how 3dsmax animates the number - with some ease in/out curves by default?

That pink box is moving in linear fasion and you can see what curve i had to make to roughly match its movement with CScatter's jitter controls.
