Title: Corona Image Editor - proper alpha channel / transparency
Post by: zules on 2017-05-14, 16:39:12
Hi there, thanks for this awesome 1.6 version, really nice upgrade, good to see this piece of bytes going such a good way ! :)

I facing an issue to get a good alpha channel after saving from the Corona IE..
Saving in exr/png doesnt give me any alpha channel, or a full white one. I'm used to work this way and understand how it works, but here...

I'm working with and HDR in environment slot & with lightmix.

How to get it ?

Thanks I feel dumb ! :D

Ok good to know !

Also, when getting alpha through TIFF files from VFB, I always get this kind of white edges... see attchd

I paste the alpha, or get it from CTRL+clic on a layer into PS to get it from the channel, but I always keep this stroke... is it a bug too ?

Thanks ! :)

No, u should render with black background and then put the
Background in Photoshop. An other way no so clean is to
Use defringe in Photoshop

Well done for defringe command, I forgot it as dont have this issues on Vray usually....

I never rendered with a black BG in other render (Vray, Maxwell...) and never got fringes using my method... weird to got them in here...
