Title: Corona compositing tag doesn't work if applied to an instance
Post by: shane_w on 2017-05-03, 19:32:06
Render instances don't seem to show up in object buffer masks.

Hi, can you explain it a little bit more, because it works for me... (look at the attached image)

Try this.  My setup was a bit more complicated.  Turn off render instance and it will work as expected.

Ok, I see the problem. The instances copy the object together with it's settings and tags. So if you assign the compositing tag to the master object, everything will be fine. But I just tried the same thing with a texture tag and it works even if you assign it to the parent object or to the instance itself, so maybe we should support this behavior with the compositing tag too. Thanks for the help! I'll rename the thread - if you don't mind - to better reflect what's happening.

Great, feel free to name the thread what ever you feel is appropriate.

Thanks,
