Hair&fur works in geometry mode here in max 2013
I have a question : is there a workaround to fake opacity for hair&fur like for vrayhairtex map ?

hair&fur in geometry mode works here, if it still does not work in build from 14th+, please post a scene

Only 3ds Max 14 and septembers build, include last 14-09-2013.
This is not the only for me, it was tested a few people from our research group.
Steps to reproduce:
1. New scene
2. To Sphere premitive (or others) add H&F modifier
3. Set geom in the H&F effect setting
4. Render
5. An error.

Yes, in your scene fur work! But if I create new scene, fur again don't work! WTF????

weird, that it crashes in this scene, but not elsewhere.

yes weird, me too max and PC crashes but only if i uncheck displacement map, and it's crashing on a single scene, others works good !
