Hi guys, Corona Team.
I do alot of landscape integration and there is some things that are wasting time or missing.
U can't plug a picture in frontal projection in scene environnement.
- Create a material, effect, projector, frontal : The result is not good when u render
The mapping type is missing, u can't choose ur projection ..
There is an other method, solution ?
I create a plane and i plug my picture in frontal projection, it's work but:
-i can't exclude my plane from alpha, it should be done by the corona tag, visible in mask but doesnt work
-the calculation is done for 100% of my render but the "real" 3d is 20 or 30% (depends) ..
What's the best way today to exlcude background from calculation and see it in render ?

Hello!
The scene environment override setting is indeed limited to only spherical maps. What should work for you is Cinema Sky with a Corona Material applied and with its mapping set to frontal. I just tried it in A6.2 and it works, except the mapping is not straight, but curved a little bit.
We will need to fix this, so thanks for the report!

Hi, you can exclude plane from alpha, see attachments.

The results without the plane, is from alfa or from a mask pass ?
Can u share this scene or the setup. I can't reprocue this ..
Edit : Yes u can, the solution is :
Create a Corona tag on the object u dont want the alpha, uncheck visible in mask
Multipass, add a mask pass, Multiple conditions mixing -> Instersection(AND)
IT WORKS YOUHOUU

Just a note on the status in my tests today - Frontal projection can be selected, but doesn't work. In an offline render, all I see is a blur :) In the IR, interestingly, I do see the image, but it is not showing the full image, rather like it has zoomed in to just one part of it.

My bad, just realized that in IR the override isn't showing at all - it was actually showing the HDRI environment background (used as the Sky)!

I just tried what you reported and all the points seem to be working now. Can you please confirm this, Remi? Thank you
