hy guys,
can someone explain me what is cache in ram in proxy ? need to be ticked or not ?
And what's the best way to work with proxy for huge scene.

as far as i understand, for small scenes with "normal" amounts of proxys, caching in ram should speed up the compiling of geonometry when you render a scene, since all the proxy geonometrie should already be loaded inside the ram..

for HEAVY proxying, dont cach em in ram, this would take off lots of ram otherwise needed, they will simply be loaded from harddrive location when compiling the scene for rendering..

maybe im completely off here but this is what i suppose it does :)

As it can be read in the tooltip: "Do not flush the model from RAM between renders. Increases scene parsing speed and memory consumption when enabled."
So generally it will speed up parsing, but disable it if you are having RAM problems.
