Product shot. Modeled/Rendered in C4DR16, HDR setup in HDR Light Studio. 50 passes Corona Alpha 6.1. Post gradient added in Photoshop.

The original idea is not bad but the problem with minimalistic shots is that you have to polish and perfect all the "simple things".
Not to mention I can`t believe it was a goal to have such low contrast. (highlights and refractive areas are not bright enough)
Try to polish it more and should be fine.
