Title: noise bump wrong result. Does anyone have this problem?
Post by: chuzhirui on 2017-01-16, 03:01:18
I have asked this question before, but it has not been solved.
Does anyone have this problem?
This is very serious.
I tested the A3 is correct, after the version is wrong.
I hope you can see the problem.
what's wrong with the BUMP.

your problem is caused by octaves>1, when trying to reduce your dent octaves from 5 to 1, the disorder is gone but with a different outcome of the noise ofc.. maybe you can just try and play around with different noisetextures/seeds/scaling to compensate..

i had tha same problem using a shader in glossy slot, maybe it due to c4d shader conversion...

I still get unusual results from bump, typically I use the filter shader to create a greyscale version of the texture I'm using for diffuse and I just don't trust the outcome I get.
