Hi guys,

Forgive me if this is a repeated question. I wondered if anyone has any info or workflow in recreating a render in Fusion 8 so that the lightmix settings can be edited. Surely as each light is rendered as an individual exr, it should be possible to rebuild this in Fusion so that you can relight a scene at any point in the future without re rendering. Currently I have a layered exr with all the lights as passes which are acknowledged in Fusion, but I don't have any knowledge of how to edit them.

Here's hoping there is a tutorial somewhere.

You just add them together, in fusion either using channel booleans node, where you set mode to ADD and use node blend to control the intensity, or using merge node in over mode with alpha gain set to 0.

That being said, there will soon be standalone corona application that will let you adjust tonemapping as well as lightmix outside of 3ds Max.

Why not a PS or better, an Affinity Photo dedicated plugin instead ? :P

Because then you would need to have PS or Affinity ;)

Or your client would.

I guess you could simply send this stand alone app to a client for example, and let them fine tune lights and tones to their own taste... :)

Yeah right, as if some clients need more evidence that doing CG is as easy as child's play :]

Oh ok ... but this would definitely be a no-go for us. We produce the images, we can't / don't want to ask our clients to do our job.

It was one example of many applications... I do not even know if it will work that way... Maybe it will require corona license. Main purpose so far is for people who don't have enough RAM, where denoising with 3ds Max loaded in memory may lead to crash.
