Hey guys, just little question.
I am converting mokhaenko free tree models from v-ray to corona. Opening file > texture tracking > save max
Why converted file is 2 to 3 x bigger than v-ray file?
V-ray 28 mb > corona 78 mb

Maybe just compressed scene file (old) vs. non compressed (new). You ma check Customize -> Preferences -> Files -> File Handling -> Compress on save.
Good Luck

that's it! Thank you :)

Sorry for off topic, but i wonder how many people do use compress on save feature? I tried to turn it on once, but didn't like how autosave times skyrocketed. I tend to put my old max files in arhives manually once in a year anyway.

Hi romullus,
we have it activated always and everywhere but no one here stores project related files locally. Saving times are almost equal with or without compression (storing a 400MB file via GB-network vs. compressing 400MB locally + sending say ... a 150MB file).
So here we have almost no difference in saving time but the benefit of smaller files. I also would never compress max files when storing them locally.
Good Luck
