Title: invisible floor but shadows (AE compositing)
Post by: rtomada on 2016-11-30, 11:16:44
Hello community,

I would like to render an animation of a product and later composite it with real footage in AfterEffects. Therefor I will need the background transparent but with shadows so the product will blend perfectly with the real footage. Is there a way to do that with the actual corona for Cinema 4D (Mac)?

Cheers
Raoul

Hi, I see u have two options.

1. Take the rendered shadowpass and invert it then multiply it over your footage.
2. Take your shadowpass and use it as a lumamask on a black solid (then adjust opacity/tint)
