Hi this is i first fast test render with Corona and i really love whats on the way whith this renderer.
-
good looks!
sss material?
-
Yea iam using translucency with a brighter green.
-
nice, i like the effects the translucency creates on the leaves......can you share your material setup?
-
dia, can you try to "cook" the image for 3-4 hours? I'm curious to see if you can obtain a clean DOF.
-
And remember to use pt+pt only with pt samples: 8 or so.
-
Yea i love the effect of the translucency to . Here is a render i cooked over the night and i stopped it when 14 h had past.
material setup is in the image file
pt+pt was used with 6 path tracing samples
-
wow, the realism is unbelievable. Do you intend on pushing it further? Some dirt would make it even better. In either case, post a clean render for the gallery ;)
-
I will pushing it a bit further ;) Really love this render so far. I will post a clean render tommorow.

You might try to put a lot more contrasty map into translucency slot. It will give you a lot more pronounced leaf structure from the rear side when sunlight hits it. Just be very careful not to increase saturation along with increasing contrast ;)

Cool ....nice result
-
My render had crashed this morning so i will make another one some other day.
-
I'm curious, does this material work when you change the camera/sun angle? There's a fine line between getting SSS and diffuse to balance out, most of the time when the leaves look organic like in your scene, the shadows lose contrast because of the SSS.

cool!

Really nice.

i like the image, nice
