Title: Animation Ready optimizations ...
Post by: GabaCGStudio on 2016-10-28, 21:57:19
i know this is an strange request!

but i hope that corona team do to reviewing and refreshing the Corona options for better making of animations on different situations (time savings, light flickers, fireflies, AA, denoise, huge scenes, huge memory use, memory savings and etc.)

thanks.

You must remember you need to also optimise your scenes when it comes to animation in corona (any renderer to be honest). You cant expect to be able to throw hundreds of millions of polys at a renderer like this on a consumer level machine, Farm or no farm, and expect it to handle it immediately and with ease. Its all about knowing where to cut corners, optimise and compromise to achieve a good balance. I don't mean that to sound patronising by the way! But alot of the memory use problems ive ever experienced since A6 have been down to me not optimising properly.

What about Disney Hyperion Render Engine?

Id bet big money that disney optimise their scenes or at the very least work with the render engine to ensure they are working in the best way they can. The longer they spend on the project the more money it costs them so it pays to work smart every time.

I know for a fact that renders using the Hyperion renderer can take many hours to complete. Also, it has probably the worlds most well funded team comprised of many people working on it. At any rate, it's not a fair comparison.

this topic is not for comparison of renderers ...

i mean , achieve ways and methods to better rendering an animation in less time and more quality and better results ...

You brought it up...
