Hi guys.
Following the last thread of Lakeside Summer, I kept the exterior theme but this time with more editorial alike of a outside diner.
Also it's a personal project. Nothing fancy, I use Cscatter for foliage, Csun&sky for day shot and a PG hdri for night shot's with corona light's. Everything is 3d.
I love the way that Corona works just right when you use real values and you don't have to do "special" tricks to get something corect in terms of realism.
I also have to say that I wanted to do a moonlight but didn't know how to. That would be a nice tutorial from Corona team ;);
Software: 3dsmax2016+Corona 1.4+MD+ArionFx+Lenscare for Dof.
150passes with .5 denoise around 2-3h per image.
Any comments/sugestions, just write it down.
Cheers!

Very nice images. nice contrast.

the shadows seem too soft if cast by the small christmas lights - did you use a fake / invisible emitter to light the overall scene?

Yes, I use for each christmas light a small one which is visible for glare and sparkle, and a bigger one which is invisible, to conpensate the light amount needed.

Congratulations on the images! They are awesome!

I think the biggest problem is the difference how a camera sees night scenes, and how human eye sees it. You would first need to decide which of the looks you would like to achieve. Then I would try looking for reference photos / eyeballing, and then try to recreate it. I have save the idea in our "todo tutorials" list. :)
