Title: RenderFlow, The ArchViz Renderfarm
Post by: RenderFlow on 2016-06-29, 16:48:04
Hi Everyone!

We are RenderFlow, a fully automated render farm developed especially for architectural visualisers.

We’re pleased to announce we’ll be offering all Corona users 90€ of free render credit split into 3 monthly installments, we hope you enjoy it. You’ll shortly receive an email with discount codes, to tempt you to give us a try here’s just a few of our features:

· Full support for Corona (obviously) and other leading renderers.
· With our Synchro Render Manager (http://www.renderflow.com/#!download/mu0le) and in-app plugins you won’t know you’re rendering in the cloud. Just click a button and we’ll take care of the rest.
Ability to launch, preview, monitor, control and download renders directly from your desktop.
· Only upload textures one time. Our Asset Cache Technology (http://www.renderflow.com/#!Evermotion-Texture-Cache-ENG/bmubx/575f46ee0cf23063aa8c0c8c) archives your textures so you’ll only need to upload them one time. Even better if you use Evermotion assets, the textures and proxies are already on our system saving you substantial time and bandwidth.
· Comprehensive and up to date plugin support (http://www.renderflow.com/#!plugins-list/ovd5z). You can always be confident we have the plugins you use in your day-to-day work.
· 3500 render cores.
· No nasty surprises. Advanced cost calculator (http://console.renderflow.com) to estimate expenses up front.
· You’re never alone. You’ll be assigned a personal supervisor who monitors your job and can make suggestions to help save you time and money.
· Inexpensive

If you have any feedback on our service please let us know (support@renderflow.com) and happy rendering!

Thanks,

The RenderFlow team.

I am only curious, what happens if someone kept the same filenames for such assets, but changed them locally ? Will the system automatically compare them and in case of difference use user's version ?

rendering in the cloud

Is this pretty much what YellowDog are doing? We have serious concerns with rendering projects over the cloud. It's one thing if we send a job out to a farm that renders in-house in their actual office but if their rendernodes are spread all over the world then this is a major concern for security of the files.

Or by "cloud" did you simply mean "remote farm" in 1 x location managed only by you?

I made quick comparison:

-low cost scenario, single node rendering, same scene 300MB(max. file + assets), same settings, corona 1.4
Rebus farm: 34.4min., 1.58€
RenderFlow: 90.76min., 0.94€
home i3 SandyBridge @3.5GHz: 240.5min.

+..maybe 3x quicker scene export and also faster upload (cca. 50Mbit/s)
+..cheaper for me, because render time is not so important for me, it is always faster than on my home PC
-..absence of VIZPark crossmap?? ..manager check scene without errors => big difference on chair in normalmap...I dont thing it is caused by missing textures on floor(crossmap used)
-..full plugin list missing on web
-..I dont understand cost cauculator, but it doesnt matter, after one render test I know exactly how much it will cost in the future :)

Juraj_Talcik, We support diferent version of files.

Our 3dsmax plugin make a local file list, the Synchro compare this list with the files in RenderFlow. Only send the diference.
If any files exist but is diferente MD5 check send the new file in a diferent folder in RenderFlow.

The render test is better if you use Distribute Render option in our plugin ;-)

Bumping this so hopefully you will answer my question above about security...
