Hi,
as you can see in this image, my intention is to obtain a nice sun shadow, but with background (BG) on.
I used Corona ContantMtl, I tried to turn off "Cast Shadows" in the object properties, but nothing works.
If I hide the BG plane, obviously, I can see the sun shadows XD
Do you have some suggestion?

Ok, with CoronaMtl, "Cast shadows" works. so I think it's a CoronaConstantMtl bug (or limit)

Strange, this doesn't happen for me. Corona constantmtl shouldn't cast shadows by default. As far as I remember you should never disable "cast shadows" from object's properties as it is fake and can significantly increase render time.
Do you only have "directly visible" checked in constantmtl's settings?

Mmm.. I don't use the A5, but A5 daily May 31 2013, cause A5 has a bug in the Proxy Asset tracking and I'm not able to open my old file (3ds max crash) cause Corona doens't recognize the correct proxy file path. I don't know if in A5 CoronaConstantMtl works better.

why u don't use Alpha 5 release?)

Any other suggestions or fixes for this issue as most visualisers i know use this workflow. i.e and image back-plate set to "don't cast shadows". Then you get the colour in reflections from the back-plate with the expected shadows properties from the sun system.

How about selecting sun and hit "exclude" adding the background to that list?.

j_forrester >> there is CoronaRaySwitchMtl material for this purpose.

Romulus,
Thanks for the tip. Looks like it should do the job fine.
