Title: backburner perpetual render
Post by: tony_morev on 2016-06-01, 22:44:40
having an issue here with backburner

the jobs save the images, but never register them as finished
and start rendering over and over again

max2016, corona 1.4 (same thing happened in 1.3)
saving EXR's with user 2.2 gamma and no extra channels

the issue is elusive, i can't figure any reason why it may happen
one day the file works fine the next it stops registering the network job completion
once it does that, though, it never goes back to being normal

if you have any insights, please share

thank you,
tony

What kind of limit are you using? (time/pass/noise?)
What kind of camera are you rendering from?

limit: pass

standard max camera with corona mod and camera correction on top

BTW "skip existing" band-aids the problem, the re-runs halt once they encounter existing images

however, a few version ago Autodesk broke yet another feature of backburner, and this time it was "skip existing" it doesn't work with strips anymore, and strips is a very convenient way to quickly generate high res images on the render farm

old bug report; corona now uses totally reworked DR/net rendering system. I am moving this to resolved as it is probably no longer relevant. Feel free to create a new thread if you have any further similar problems
