Hi,
I was rendering a an animation when this error occured:
(http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/301/apm0.png) (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/32/apm0.png/)
yes, it is: WTF - bad allocation. Sory for bad image but it is a screen made in teamviewer and I'm at work right now.
Something tells me that its a corona renderer issue and have something to do with this:

Looks like corona is very greedy and like to consume loads of ram, and when ram is nor enough it consumes your C: drive :D
Will report a bug when get back home

It's not a bug, it just means you ran out of memory. What were you rendering?
-
Well.... it is a bug!
I was rendeing a sequence of targa images. All files are stored on disk D.
But somehow renderer managed to fill my system disk C with some files. Yesterday when rendering started I had 120GB free on disk C. Now its full. And what worries me that reboot didnt help, my disk C is still full.... That is a bug!!
-
Is your C drive full even once you exit max?
-
Did your sequence have lots of displacement or heavy geometry?
-
Sovcat - no it should have about 110GB free space
maru - yes, lots of geometry and lots of displacement. Very heavy scene.
After 2 more reboots (rendering all the time, mostly remote work so dont have time to reboot) disk C went back to normal state, but another disk D was full this time.... And render files are only 2,5GB. I'm wondering if it might be a technical issue with my hard drives....?

There is already a similar thread on this. ;)

It must be a bug with displacement (does it happen when you turn displacement off?). We must wait for Keymaster to come back/get sober.

I got that error when trying to use hair and fur as grass covering an area of 10x10 meters. But that's understandable. And I have 12gb RAM.
I've worked with displacement maps in iRay before and it never worked out because it used way to much memory.
As mentioned above, try render without any displacement enabled. I'm convinced the displacement you're trying to achieve is super complex.
-
Do you still have the scene so we can do some investigating?
-
inactive topic

what should I do
I urgently need to render, and it does not work
-
You should start new topic in bug reporting. Describe situation briefly and clearly. Do mention what Corona's version you are using. Ideally you could strip down scene to a bare minimum where problem is still reproducable and upload it for checking. You can do it privately via Corona uploader: https://corona-renderer.com/upload/ and don't forget to mention about it if you do so.

I have a very easy scene, it practically does not loaded I reinstalled 3dmaks, put the corona again render threw it into a new scene and still is this failure I have no idea what to do now scene sent the link that you threw me
-
does not start render and throws this error
I do not know what to do
the scene is not heavy
what should I do
help solve the problem
-
oh, I didn't know that was an old RAM problem. I never had this before Corona 1.4, now I do. Sometimes after 6 hours or more of rendering (no displacement whatsoever), sometimes right away when I start the render. Corona 1.3 was more stable I think, but maybe that will not happen with fresh new scenes, not sure yet.
