Chaos Corona for 3ds Max => [Max] I need help! => Topic started by: chris0320 on 2016-04-27, 21:50:31

I'm new to Corona (Corona in Max 2016), just started using it, and I dont know which camera to use. There is a standard free camera, target camera and physical camera.
I know whats the difference between the free and target camera, but should i use the physical camera and adjust the f/stop, focal lenght etc there, or should i use a target camera, and adjust those (and the other settings) in the Corona render settings?
Thank you!

Just use standart camera and apply corona camera mod. This will give you all physical parameters.

2016 will by default (when pressing shortcut) create physical camera, which is far superior to previous version. It has also targeted/free version variation. But it additionally, also has perspective tools, which are incredible boon for architectural shots (such as vertical shift). Among many other features.
Also, you don't have to use photographic controls, you can use those, or those in Corona, it's up to you. The camera doesn't force it, the only remaining reason to use CoronaCam mod on top is to override highlight compression.
Don't use legacy stuff, physical camera is superior in every single way.
