Hi guys,
We just published an article comparing denoising on/off and the significant time-savings you can achieve with it, which also contains some simple tips for using this new tool.

Hope you find it useful!

Cool overview. Thanks! :)

That's some really great results. I see zero loss in clarity.

No problem guys, hope you find it useful.

Great study, thank you for it.
I noticed that in 300/75 pass
The shape under the lamp changed, and the curtains look better in the 75version.
My question is, is there a way to save linear exr when denoising?

No problem.
The curtains one is probably because there is more noise in the 75 version, which helps to make the fabric read like it's textured (which it is, but maybe very subtle).
The shape under the lamp - how do you mean? Looks more or less identical to me. Especially when in motion.
Not sure quite what you mean about the linear exr when denoising, maybe someone else can help with that.

Hi Alex,
Nice to see you again.
Thanks for the tip. Very cool.
Could you share your settings for this animation.

Hey. Nothing out of the ordinary at all. UHD set to animation flicker free mode, noise set to temporal (this might be the wrong choice for denoising. We're testing currently), coronaportals... nothing unusual.
